Educational Info Robert P Rodish

Seasoned at understanding the closely held business, Robert Rodish has worked in and for a wide range of business in many fields. This round knowledge base, and a good understanding of the fundamentals has served Robert’s clients well.

“I always recommend that small business and start-ups begin with a meeting with SCORE (www.score.org).”  says Robert Rodish, “They have almost unlimited resources to tap into for experience and with the website, if they do not have a local expert in your field, you can connect nationwide with a mentor. These men and woman have unbelievable experience and want to share it with you, with monthly follow up and monitoring.  You get all of this at no cost. “

AtBokara Rug Company, Robert Rodish worked closely with the Spars team at Magnum Opus Systems Corp in New York City (www.sparus.com ) to implement an enterprise software solution with full customer management, inventory with live web data, Dolphin wireless handheld scanners and an advanced RFID system. “Talha Khan and Ali Farooqui were a great team at Spars and we implemented a solid solution for Bokara Rug Company of Secaucus, New Jersey.

Previously Robert Rodish had served as a consultant to scope and develop a proprietary dark pool trading platform. “We had already done an automated equities program with an exchange, and then this came along, relates Robert Rodish. “It was quite a challenge. We programmed in multiple languages with .net and then java cores, because you to tie together so many systems.  From the big traders like Goldman Sachs and J P Morgan to smaller boutique trading firms. Very interesting stuff. I was just reading in FT.com about such programs (http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/592d605e-5210-11e3-8c42-00144feabdc0.html#axzz2ttiKvrOH) and appreciate the complexity of the conversation.”

When asked how he came to work with Sami Kelmendi at Gurri Construction, Robert Rodish mentioned that before he became part of the team, he was a client. “I had partnered with leading wine cellar designers such as Cellarworks, Kilter Hippo and Custom Cellars Company with Paul Wyatt, the father of the wine cellar racking at the helm. We built outstanding cellars and had a marvelous time doing it. Met great people and built real quality and craftsmanship. When we had a New York City project, we used Gurri Construction. Sami G Kelmendi at Gurri is a pro and a gentleman and when we got talking about his firm’s expansion in the Upper East Side in the A&D Building at 150 E 58th, well, I thought to myself, “Rodish, you should do this.” It is a pleasure to work and help him build a great business. He encourages all residents of Manhattan’s Upper East and Upper West Side to visit the showroom in the A&D Building at 150 E 58th, New York NY 10015 or visit the website at www.gurriconstruction.com
